PWP has an impressive record of community outreach education in the surrounding areas of Akron and in Washington D.C. & New York City. Our non-profit educational mission is to provide arts education and exposure to community members through dance classes and free performances. For the past eleven years PWP has been a part of after school programs in Akron, Copley, Fairlawn, and Bath. We have also presented master classes at Pointe West Studio by working educators/choreographers from NYC and Washington, D.C., where PWP has an affiliation with Dance Etc. School of the Arts. These programs have served hundreds of area students in underprivileged schools and children who would otherwise never be exposed to the artistic masterpieces such as “The Nutcracker,” “Sleeping Beauty,” and the original choreography of our jazz division.
